Festival Competitions
VENUES ALL ROUND TOWN | 9TH - 20TH NOVEMBER
No panel of judges, no closed-door deliberations: this year it's the people's choice. Rate each hot chocolate, chocolate cocktail, stout or dessert you try, based on how much you enjoy it.
The treat with the best average rating in each category takes the crown.
Rating is open from 9th to 20th November, so you can start early or keep going after the festival weekend.
It's just for fun and the only prize is the glory! It's a chance for businesses to showcase their finest chocolatey creations and for visitors to get involved and try as many as they can manage (please consume responsibly). Please do find a contender and give them some stars!

How to rate your treat
Step 1: Find your hot chocolate, cocktail, dessert or stout
Look at the Festival Directory and tap the 'Competition entrant' tag to find businesses competing in each category. Head off round town, trying as much as you like: a hot chocolate here; a chocolate cocktail there; a slice of something rich somewhere else.
Step 2: Find the QR code
Wherever you're served one of the categories, look for the QR code - usually near the counter or on the table.
Scan it. That brings you straight to the online rating form, ready to rate what you've just tried.
You'll find the form below if your QR code doesn't work.
Step 3: Rate your treat
Give it a star rating out of five, based purely on how much you enjoyed it. Be honest, since every rating adds up to the final result.
The rule: one rating per category, per business. If a place does a standout chocolate cocktail and a fabulous dessert, you can rate both: once for their cocktail, once for their dessert. What you can't do is rate the same category at the same business twice, even if you went back for seconds.
If you're in a group, each person in the group can send in their own rating.
Announcing the Winners
Rating is open from 9th to 20th November, so you can start early or keep going after the festival weekend. Keep an eye on our Facebook page shortly after the 20th for the results. A huge thank you in advance to everyone who takes part.
